Does anyone have an exploded picture of what there is between the A/C radiator and the front of the car.

A dork on a motorbike wiped mine off so I am looking for some used bits to put it back together but am unsure of how it all fits together. For the most part all I have is a jigsaw of plastic shrapnel and it is hard to tell.

Things like where the expanded foam bit goes, how big it is. Which bit the bonnet catches should be connected to. Where did the headlights fasten.

What I need is an exploded drawing showing all the component parts. The outside is easy enough but I think there was a big plastic piece that it all fastens to that also fastens to the chassis extensions maybe.

I’ve watch a couple You tube video of the smart service center, in Birmingham UK. They might supply the Op with some of the information he needs. To repair his smart. Smarttecnic in Birmingham UK. Full service are models years, of any smart car. I wish we had the same Resources here for our smart cars. Parts etc. They are a wealth of information.

Nope. :)

I will not pay a site that was free until everyone had submitted lots of tips then started charging to see them. :)
Hmmm, Kane at Evilution has been pivotal for many here in maintaining their Smarts and I can’t blame him for charging for his years of experience. It takes a huge amount of work to maintain a website, keep it updated and documented, not to mention the constant steam of messages asking for help and support.

There are very few SCoA members that have not benefitted from his work either directly or indirectly. Many here will give free advice and support, but when so much time and effort are needed, asking for $25-30 a year for advice is a small price to pay.

To put things in perspective, any repair shop will charge $50-60 per hour. Mercedes in my area is $165.

Kane is not just a Smart enthusiast, he’s an owner and mechanic. When someone gets good at something, people seeking help will want their services for free, over and over and over again. There comes a time when it becomes reasonable and necessary to ask for compensation.

That's fine and it is his choice. It just grates that he took a lot of other people's input and made money from it.

I am not saying it is not cheap and would agree that for what he charges it is a good deal if you need the info but in my case I will not pay under any circumstances.

All the information on Evilution is available elsewhere, for example FQ101 and you learn a lot more searching and asking than you do if you know where to go and find your answers straight away.

Like sat navs. One used to find the most interesting of places by accident, getting lost but that doesn't happen anymore. :)

I actually have all the parts you needed but they are for my own consumption, unfortunately. My daughter had crashed her 09 into a light pole; she walked out of it with a minor concussion and the car could be driven from the tow yard to her apartment. I had hunted and searched high and low for a year to accumulate various front end parts from ebay mostly. Yes, I even have the radiator support!. Parts and shipping for them cost about $2000.00. Putting them back together will be my next project...

I bought a few bits already. I had been hoping to find someone breaking one that I can dismantle so that I get all the clips and screws but it does not look to be happening so I have started just buying odd bits here and there.

The radiator support is not that bad, just snapped off at the bottom but I sort of feel that if I repair it with bits of metal plate and screws / bolts then it will not pass the MOT test because it is supposed to disintegrate on impact to not damage whatever moron steps in front of you. If I mend it then it will not behave correctly so may fail the test.
