I got this unit in my used 2018 EQ. However, no luck with getting GPS signal, only iGO error, attempts to acquire signal. As I didn't install it and can't contact the original owner (bought it used), I have no idea why this is happening. Do you think it possible the GPS antenna was never installed? Could I pull out the unit and check for its connections? Oh, at top of windshield is a Mini USB cable just taped to the window, with imprints on glass of a vacuum mount, but I think it was for a Dashcam, not sure if connected to the Android. Many thanks in advance!

From the factory the antenna is under the roof, if that radio was stolen you would need the black box connected from the rear. Just get a rebuilt Garmin 50 on Amazon, best bang for the buck. Don't ever trust GPS from a radio or a phone and stay the hell away from Google, those bums will steer you into a wall.
