A question for the community.
Is there a reliable door edge guard for the 453.
The paint finish chips very easily, wherever the manufacturer is using has no adhesion to the substrate plastic that make the door panels.
I couldn't find a suitable accessory to install, any help from the forum??

I have not seen factory or dealer offered door edge guards in many years for any make of car. Some of the auto parts stores do offer the chrome plastic "cut to fit" type of door edge guard. I have seen them at Pep Boys, Discount Auto, Auto Zone, and even Wal Mart. I live in Florida, so things may be different in your area. Good luck in your search.

Yep, have experienced the same. Not searched for edge guards but, because of the door edge design, the guards would need to be quite different from the usual.

Is it what you're looking for? It appears to be some sort of rubber/pastic sticker (better than nothing?) I saw it available on aliexpress.com.

I believe you are correct, but it claims to "protect your door edge". Most "door edge guards" that I have seen are just some plastic thingy with self-adhesive backing anyway. So you may consider this is as a thinner version

Just ordered a set. Says they are rubber.
