Well 5 days in on my 2103 Smart Passion. I bought her with 43000 on her and in dire need of a good clean up. That was taken care of on the first two days. Previous owner did not take care of it at all and the guys at the used lot just hit the high points. Seems the previous owner like to smoke a little weed and the smell inside was awful. So after a good vacuuming and some Febreeze, backing soda, and a new cabin air filter she at least smells like fresh linen. The back tires looked like onion peels, so today was a trip to the tire store. OMG, what an experience that was. Made an appointment for 1:00 PM, got there at 12:30 and was told they did not show where I had made an appointment and they would try to squeeze me in. After 3 1/2 hours of waiting the shop manager tells me he does not have the tires in stock. He said that all he had was 175/55/15's and I needed 155/60/15's. By now I am fuming. I told him that is what I wanted to start with and he told me I had to have the other tires. That is when I made him aware that the Smart car has two different tire sizes. You would think he would know this. His reply was that he had only seen that on Corvette's, Charger's and Camaro's. So he went back in the shop and put on the tires I had ordered. After another hour they tell me my car is ready. My bill was supposed to be $276.00 but when I told the assistant manager I was very disappointed in how everything had gone he knocked it down to $207.00. I paid them and left. I stopped at the auto parts store on the way home and happened to notice that one of my center caps was missing and I was also missing a valve cap. I called the tire place and inquired. I was put on hold for a few and the manager told me they found it, so back to the tire shop again, argh! As you may have read I have failed to mention the tire store by name. With that being said I am only going to say that the place was founded by three guys named Manny, Moe, & Jack.
