HI ALL:
This might have been asked and answered maybe a hundred times, but since the warmer weather is here in the Midwest, here goes.
Is it normal for the A/C compressor to shut off during heavy acceleration?

Temperature is about 41 in the outlets with the recirculate button is pushed, but about 50-55 in normal mode at idle.

The compressor isn't cycling at idle, its on all the time at idle.

Outside temp right now is about 90 degrees.

If any other questions, let me know.
AGAIN AS ALWAYS Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys for the help. Wasn't sure about the designed cut off of the air. The higher temp at the normal setting was main question. I understand the 41 at idle with the recirculate button pushed but the higher temp with the normal A/C button pressed. Being as the Auto temp control is down to the coldest setting (60) I think: Am I to understand that's the temp it trying to hold? If so, I guess the only answer is to always use recirculate if a cooler car is needed.

Thank you both for the quick responses.

Using the recirculate in A\C whence drafting off of a dump truck keeps the diesel smoke out too. Just added a half can of sauce when it got super muggy up here. Got Minimus down to 42 with a 92 ambient temperature... ...yay!
