Watch a guy waste a perfectly good windshield he could have saved for his daily driver. What some people won't do for You Tube. He did find out why a Fortwo has such a high crash test rating. With Fortwos getting more scarce all the time it does bother me to see them purposefully wasted. To each his own I guess. I don't expect everyone to have the same respect for a Smart car as I do, but seeing anyone destroying any car just to see what will happen really saddens me. DCO

He mentions in one of the comments that the the windshield had a crack all the way through. None the less it saddens me to see that perfectly good car get destroyed. Somehow he looks very surprised that a bowling ball can't make it through. Just one of those people with more money than brains and has no clue that a windshield is laminated layers.

Did you guys watch the beginning? The guy has a daily driver smart and bought that second one to make into a baja type of offroad buggy. And given the windscreen had a crack all the way through, he has to replace it if he wants to drive it on the road. This car isn't being wasted... unless you count an offroad buggy as wasting a smart. :D

My only complaint is that he chose a facelift car for the project. If I were doing the same I'd do it with a car well past its prime or even on its deathbed.

He started the Bala project a year ago. Took the body panels off at the same time and that was it. Nothing more. The dude has no idea how a car operates. And I'm willing to bet he won't finish it. So waste of a good car

I fail to see the point of his video. We all know that laminated windshields have been around for 30+ years and stop a lot of things from going through. This guy just looks like he wanted smash something and try to go for a "dramatic" effect.

At least he covered the interior to protect it from the shattered glass. Why, I don't know except for maybe ease of cleanup? I mean he's just beating the heck out of a car for no good reason.

It's weird because he's actually close to finishing it in its current state. I'd just put some all terrains on it, flex seal the TCM, cut the textured roof off, then send it. It would make an awesome side by side.

I'm probably trading my truck for a stripped down rally prepped Festiva. Probably the closest I'll get to a real rally smart.

But hey, his still runs and drives, so I guess he cares enough about it to keep it in running order.

How much does a rally prepped festiva run price wise

I've no idea, but the car is so crazy fun to drive that I hope the guy accepts the trade. :D

ETA: He got scared off by my transmission issues. Fine, I'll build my own rally Festiva!
