Just replaced the ABS pump and everything after inspection is in good order. How does one remove the ABS, Yellow Triangle , snd the Emergency brake light from the dashboard.? It is so annoying to drive around when your dashboard looks like a Christmas tree. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Happy Motoring

I would suspect there's still some error codes tripping the system. From what I have seen, the triangle only lights up when there is an issue and goes away when the fault is cleared.
Does your scanner show any codes, past or present?

As of today, scanner shows no codes.

Having been down this path myself, if it's a basic OBDII scanner, it won't scan the canbus. You should see subsystems such as N15, N3, N47, etc.
If your scanner reads canbus and there's still no codes, I'm at a loss and would refer you to the dealer or a Mercedes specialist.

These lights turn themselves off if the car passes the system self test that occurs around 9 mph.

Are your reluctor rings on the rear wheels in good shape? Corroded rings will cause the system to fail.

That should set an error though, yes? I haven't had one fail, so I don't have first-hand experience.

After replacing the ABS pump, a star machine is needed to get the system to recognize the new part. I had the same experience. The triangle and ABS lights would not go out until the new pump was added to the system.
A star machine, never heard of that one. What is that ?

You should be able to get a working STAR machine from eBay for a relatively inexpensive price. It's an incredibly valuable tool for smart diagnosis. Think of it like the VCDS system you can get to diagnose Volkswagens. :)

Checked Ebay- pricing around $500-$700 for a star machine

Much cheaper to find a local shop that works on Mercedes and has the STAR computer (or equivalent) available. :)

Oof! There was a period maybe last year or so you could get one for $300. Maybe they're more in demand lately considering smart's pulling out of the USA. :O
