I changed the air filter on my new (to me) 2015 Pure this afternoon. Just under 10,000 miles. The filter I pulled out was a genuine Smart filter. Guessing it was the original. I replaced it with a Purolator. I noticed the Purolator had many more pleats than the Smart. 80 vs 37, by my count. So The Purolator has a bit over twice the filter surface area as the Smart.
