Has anyone experienced the intake fender vent and air box vibrating enough that it makes a rattling sound at idle? If so what is the cure please. I haven't been able to stop it yet.

Ball and socket............

There is a ball and socket joint underneath the air box. It holds the airbox firmly in place.................

The ball and socket would definitely do it. Also check for loose locking pins on the airbox.

You may want to check the hose clamp by the air box...One of the only times my car went to the dealer for a service, they changed the air filter and re-tightened the clamp in such a way that the excess end of the clamp was bent up and was hitting the bottom side of the engine cover...

Should be firmly attached to the motor. It is the stock air intake and not one of the aftermarket Cold Air Intakes or some sort of fancy filter..

Thanks, forgot to mention running the forge intake....so no ball/socket. I'll check the clamps. If I stick my fingers in the fender vent I can stop it, so I may have to come up with something else. Thanks for the suggestions???

Maybe get some foam they use for door weatherstripping (with tape on one side ) and make up an insulating gasket to keep the vibration down.

Forge intake ??.............

Does your forge intake run from the box that holds the air filter,over to the throttle body intake?? The box that holds the
air filter,is the box that has the ball and socket under it. Not the the expansion chamber,that was replaced by the forge
intake tube.............
