This is not an original idea of mine. I found the suggestion on this forum posted by a Cabrio owner. Instead of spending time and money on a rear view camera I bought an 8" x 10" fresnel lens CIPA Model 60100, cut it in half and placed it inside near the bottom of the rear window. I find it really works for backing up and spotting oncoming cars from behind. The other half will go on my Subaru Outback.

Interesting. I removed my rear view mirror a few months ago because it hid cars at intersections. I don't miss it at all.
