My wife was driving the car and was making a u-turn when the car sputtered, sputtered, died. The car now won't start. Ignition switches on. One can shift through the gears. But turning the key to start the car does nothing. Neutral can be selected, but the car does not roll. I just pulled the code(s) and there is one, P0805, which my scanner reports as Clutch Position Sensor Circuit. My guess is clutch actuator. Does that sound correct?

P.S. FYI, the tow truck operator and his dispatcher were very exciting they were towing a smart.

Don't see any responses to this. Just had the same problem P0805 and P0900 codes. Car made a thump noise, sputtered and stopped. No buzz, no whir, no click when I turn the key to start.
