i suspect my antifreeze is original (has a greenish tint. is that original?) so i went to auto zone and asked if the would hydrometer and litmus test it and they said they don't do that. from what i have read i hate the idea changing it if i don't have to.

Mercedes specification anti-freeze is blue or gold. NAPA and others sell G05 type coolant that will work. If the anti-freeze is more than 5 years old it should be changed.

Just like most of the 2964 questions you have asked, the answer can be found in many posts by a search of this site.

Changing it isn't that bad. I dreaded the thought of burping the air out of the block, but it was quite simple.
