This box is hanging from it's wires under the dash above the brake pedal of my 2017 453 ICE Cabriolet. Does anyone know what it is and more importantly how it is supposed to be mounted? I tried looking for some kind of bracket to attach it to but couldn't see one.

There must be a bracket for it under the dash....

I had the same box fall down at my feet. I have a 2016coupe. The bracket that hold the box up there is likely broken. MB replaced the dash bracket and remount the box back under the dash. Should be covered under warranty
