Hello, I am new to the Smart Forums. I am the Events Coordinator for our club, which is PT Cruiser/HHRs. I would like to see if anyone would be interested in joining us for a joint show next summer in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The idea I have for the show would be Retro/Special Interest vehicles, possibly PTs, HHRs, Smarts, Minis and New Beetles. I would ahndle all of the arrangements such as hotels and such. I just need to know if there is enough interest to go forward with this. Thanks for reading this, I am looking forward to your replies!

This would be in the summer, June or July. I did not post it regionally, since it would be open to everyone and anyone. Thanks

I thought this would be an event involving joints. Guess I misread the title.
Leave it to a Cali boy . . .

It is rather dangerous to post a title on SCOA such as - Any Interest in a Joint . . . ? :rainfro:

Actually, I'm a little disappointed in the (lack of) response thus far?

Now if the party animals were out and this was Friday Night . . . :spots:

This needs to come out from under the Nationals forum - it belongs in General Discussions (until it becomes a run-away hit, or a flame war...)

This would make a great location for a Eastern regional event
Yes... except it's a 2 day drive from Florida... and I'm not saying that because I live here... but it has the highest percentage of owners.

We're having a hard enough time getting people to drive one day to OTD...

Also, isn't Dell's next June?

It is great to see that there is interest in doing this. I understand it is a distance to drive for a lot of people, and we will be making it a 3 day, Fri, Sat Sun event. It would be great to meet a lot of different car enthusiasts. We have a ton of great stuff in the area to see and do, including casinos, sightseeing, antiquing and a lot more.

For entire North-east portion of the country and Ohio this is an easy day drive.

Florida is a Day drive for some folks in Florida:rolleyes:

Sounds like fun

I really like multi badge events.
Had a PT cruiser before I got smart.
Not a bad vehicle. Not a smart, but still not bad?

Keep us informed as to dates and registration/venue.

BTW, most online mapping programs (mapquest, etc) don't show geographic areas (poconos, hamptons, etc.) It is always helpful to provide an actual town name so folks can get an estimate of driving time/distance/route and local attractions?

I enjoy multi badge events as well. I have had 5 PTs and may be looking at a Smart next! The show would most likely be in the area of Tannersville, PA. If not there, then within a 40 mile radius of there.

The Pocono Mountains is a region located in northeastern Pennsylvania, United States. The Poconos, located chiefly in Monroe and Pike counties (and parts of Wayne and Carbon counties), are an upland of the larger Allegheny Plateau. Forming a 2,400 square miles (6,200 km²) escarpment overlooking the Delaware Valley and Delaware Water Gap to the east, the mountains are bordered on the north by Lake Wallenpaupack, on the west by the Wyoming Valley, and to the south by the Lehigh Valley.

Any way to narrow down the location :D Might take some fokes a while to find it:p
