It's funny that you mention that, I am looking for someone to do the same except for exterior wheel caps on the steel rims. I figure a tightly fitting plastic cap to protect the centre of the rim would them allow a custom centre decal of your choice to be inserted on them.

Like the stock triangular wheel caps? I can send you mine, I switched to the aluminums with a little round cap.

You will not believe what goes on here in Chilliwack. I was at the local wrecker trying to find some fog light bezels, and when I come out all 4 centre caps ripped off. I mean really what are you going to do with them, they do not even have Mercedes logo on them. I am checking Marketplace to see them up for sale, and the next ones I will press a vin into the caps.

Did you notice that that print is only BOLT cover? It's not the center piece. I have those center pieces though and could make an ebay listing for you.

something like above, however with a flat front and protruding out as little as possible. I was thinking that I could then add my own stick own decal to the flat front. By doing this I would also be able to use the 17mm chrome wheel bolts which are available for $1.69 each.

I'll print and send you one for free or even pay 10 bucks for a model that works. Tbh, I can't believe it hasn't been made before.

1. They havent had them in stock for months.
2. Im trying to not spend 65 dollars on something I can print for a dollar...
What would the actual cost of printing one be? I have one installed and as a ram air device with the KnN filter in the stock bow I feel the engine is happier climbing hills. Currently looking at the longer Evilution silicon intake hose before I I make an exhaust change.

like the pictured one (not my car)

...this one is the fourth scoop made...lost a few and learned a lot about double sided tape...it sucks...not to speed...pun intended
...a scoop alone will adversely affect the intended use of it due to the restricted factory plastic intake on the outside...

...I have no money cost in my scoops..just time...with the mold already made it takes some hours for the fiberglass to dry and then trim and paint...
...if you look at your scoop you can calculate what the open surface area is and you'll see that it is not much...mine had to be as open as it could be so that it could feed the hair dryer..

Jetfuel...did the math..

Mold is smart. In all honestly, they'd probably cost me 50 cents or a dollar to print. The rough estimation before taking electricity into consideration would be $16/kg used. So, however much filament used, you'd just divide it. But that's without factoring the several hours it takes to make or if it messes up during print. I'd sell them at like 20 bucks. I'd personally rather the gt-style one like on Amazon. I feel like the fins in the one Smartmadness sells would impede airflow a tad. But if anyone wanted to make any kind of air scoop up on cad, I'd love it. Lol.
