Hi Smart people,

I have a problem. Several week back the battery light on my Smart began to go on intermittently while driving. On then off.

I brought it into the dealer to look at another issue and they told me there were no codes available when they hooked it up. They said they tested the battery and there was nothing of note.

Well I am driving it today and guess what..light on and off. Any suggestions? Should I just try replacing the battery or does it sound more like a DC to DC converter issue? I read about the DC to DC converter going bad in another thread.

I would start by checking the battery condition, especially it's state of charge. Also check for loose connections, especially the ground connections ((brown wires) near the battery. Hopefully, it is something simple.
