I am getting concerned regarding my 2012 original battery. Although it seems to be working fine, because of this pandemic we're not driving it much. SO, I was thinking of connecting a battery maintainer to it, but can I do this without disconnecting the battery every time?? Or will that cause some damage? Karl

I put a Deltran Battery Tender on my Smart. 800 milliamps...

Come with a set of cables to connect to your battery, then a quick disconnect to remove the tender...

I cut the ring terminals on the connector to a "C" with a Dremel...

I put the battery tender like the above image on my '16 453, my 2005 Cub Cadet and my wife's Harley Davidson trike. I like that you can plug a Harley battery tender to all the rides and it "tickles" the electrolyte to prevent sulfation. If you're to have a stagnant ride that's the way to go.
