thank you gentlemen

now some more questions
1. the owner manual does now describe the difference between the two maintenance symbols

2. the owner manual does not describe what needs to be done according to the code that is showing (everyday the code increases by 1, it started at 600)

3. i have watched youtube, read the owner manual and have tried to reset (at least a dozen times) the blinking symbol and number code. it will not reset but the button does work because it zeroes out the trip odometer. i have held the button down for up to 30 seconds, eventually the miles comes back up

When you go to step 2, you have to hold the button down and then turn on the key and hold it down until you see 10k & it is reset. Watch the video carefully as was suggested and you should be able to reset it.

i tried it ten more times today. from the time i turned the key on and pressed the left button and turned it off was 4 seconds. i waited 5 seconds for the speedo needle to drop and the led panel light to go off. i then pushed and held the left button and turned the key on. ten seconds later the spanner started blinking. i held the button for 1 min and fifteen seconds before the odometer came on.

i turned the key off and waited about 30 seconds and turned it back on to see if it had cleared....it did not

i don't see a problem with timing and trying this 30 times you would think i would get it eventually if i was doing something wrong. i even tried pushing the left button three or four times in the first step.

????

The entire procedure must be done in 10 seconds. It sounds like you are trying different things. Just follow the video...don't add extra button pushes or extra time. Follow the video....it will work. After a few tries, it is best to go away for a while and let the car have a chance to re-group. Good luck!!

wrong the evilution says the first step is ten seconds and the second step is ten seconds

anyway....yahoo it finally reset. don't know how or when it did it cause it sure didn't happen like it showed in the video (maybe it just got tired of me trying)lol

now if i can just get traction control to turn off and get my led clock to adjust time.....

I used the Evilution video and followed the quickness of the various actions, and it worked after numerous other attempts. I did not adhere to any 10 or whatever second rules. For me the process done quickly worked.
