I have been having issues with my left break/turn light. I changed out the light bulb and i also changed it to the right and it works. What else can be wrong with the light? I’ve tried everything already. Any suggestions?

Oh sorry, forgot the year. It is a 2008.

Have you checked for any corrosion around the bulb socket, and any loose/broken wiring?

Oh thanks! Therr are no lose wires. I’ll check for the corrosion, if it does have some, what can i use to take it off?

Stop lamp in operative:

I believe that your bulb holder I'd defective. I have seen this several times on smart cars. Replace the holder & you should be back in business.

I switched both of them and both stopped working. When i put them back to how it was, the right side is the only one that worked.

I have the same situation, left rear brake light and turn signal fail. I got the same advice, too--replace the bulb carrier. I did, and it did not solve the problem. However, I have never checked the fuse. And I also see there is also a relay, called Relay A, specifically for the left brake and turn signal!
Could one of these be the problem? Others here have suspected a grounding problem---how can I check for that?
