So, when I was taking off the front panel to replace the hood clips on my used 2008 passion, I was attempting to unscrew the antenna and it snapped off. Had a bit of corrosion in the threads. It appears that the part the antenna screws into can be easily unscrewed further down to replace, however I have no idea what it's called. Searched for antenna on smartmadness.com and only saw the actual antennas.
Any help is appreciated.

It is called what it is: antenna base :wink:. Part number A451 820 06 75

Same happened to me. As a temporary fix, I drilled a 1/8" dia. hole in both the antenna and the base, took a stainless steel wood screw, cutted the head off, and used the threaded section to join both parts.

I called the dealer and he shipped both the base and antenna mast right out.

If it's not covered by warranty, get a reasonably-priced (<$10) Scosche (sp) stubby replacement antenna kit at WallyWorld.

Do the replacement antennas from smartmadness.com have the base? Don't have Wally World in michigan, but I'm looking for this
