just wanted to verify that to change the bulb (hi i think)the one with the three clips on a metal band takes pressure just to pull it out and push the new one in. correct?

why didn't they just keep the same system on both hi and low bulbs since they both take the H7

Make sure you maintain the correct orientation when re-installing the high beam bulb. It can go in wrong.
The low beam can only go one way.
