Cabrio Tailgate

We have a 2015 Pure that we are pleased with. So much so that we're shopping for a 2015 to 2018 Cabrio. How does that tailgate open without the glass panel above it, which of course opens first and in turn releases the lower gate on the standard Pure.

To answer your question- you just drop the tailgate as usual and then reach in and push 2 latches and the top can be pushed up accordion style. It only takes a few times of opening to reach in and do the latches without having to feel around. I'm sure you don't have as much room as the non cabrio version to get things in but it has never been an issue for us.

On the cabrio’s opening the back is in reverse order of the coupes. Tailgate first then the upper/roof portion.

My wife is expert in packing the Cabrio trunk .. we get more stuff in that space than I can imagine . People see us with a full sized grocery cart packed to the top and wonder how we are to get it in the car ... but she gets it stowed every time !
Lol I’m the same way people driving out of Walmart stop to watch me put a buggy full into my cabrio they laugh when I say I got $250 worth of groceries and an engine shoved back there
