Also, where is the battery located?? can't find it in the front or rear

Lastly, what is -3 means in the display? After maybe half a minute it changes to odometer

Is there a way to display mpg, avg mpg, how many miles until fill up, all those info?

Looks like you have the front service flap installed correctly. The -3 means you are 3 days past your next service. Someone may have not reset the service indicator wrench when it was last serviced.:smartje.grs.zw::smartje.bl.zw::smartje.wt.zw:

Well worth the small donation. Everything about your smart

Battery is under the passenger footwell carpet. remove two hold downs pull back carpet remove foam insert.

Service panel looks correct

Yes service date is over one year, You can reset it, kind of tricky with timing. Evilution has the instructions and video.

thanks, what are you expected to do when service is due (after a year)? just oil change? car has very few miles. the display in the picture above shows KM, so around 17k miles, is a 2008 car.

The Ultra gauge is a better choice for the other read outs you desire, rather than the scangauge II.
The oil change interval is 10k miles or one year which ever comes first. Many of us choose to change at 5k miles since the short term running around causes the equivalent of Most Severe Service, similar to a taxi cab, but not getting to completely warm up. so less is more.

The cars (in Canada, at least) indicate when it is down to the last 3.5 liters (1 gallon-ish) of fuel, and then count down every .5l so I know when it's most urgent to fill up.

By the way caineroad, your picture is perfect regarding the hood position. Most people are not taught about the tabs being under the fender tab like you have shown and end up losing a hood. When the hood flexes with wind pressure, it extends further under the tabs! Neat design, huh?!

Best way to check for proper hood alignment is to run your fingers from hood to fender and back?

It should be a SMOOTH transition. If there is a BUMP it isn't correctly installed!

Then push down in the front center of the hood and engage the two front latches.

Finally, using the TIP of your finger, lift on the front center of the Hood and it should be SOLID.
