I bought a 2014 used ED. The rear cargo area has a cargo tie-down/metal ring on the right side and nothing but a plastic filler/button on the left. I am assuming the dummy button hides a place for a cargo tie-down to be screwed in to. Am I assuming correctly? If so, does anyone know the part number? And less importantly, why wouldn't they put a tie down on both sides?

Child safety seat.............

The passanger side only tie down ring is meant as a secure point for any/all child safety seats. Smart assumes the driver
will be adult size. That is also why passanger air bag stays OFF,until an adult sits there...................

Why then, you may ask is there a dummy plug on the Driver's side? Because the passenger side is SOMETIMES ON THE LEFT, especially when the car is a RT. hand drive. :D I have always wanted a matching D ring, too. No, I do not know the part number, either.

Now the question.
Is it worth $45 or more with shipping to have matching sides?

Take Care
