My "new to me" 2008 smart car says CD error when I select source to it. Has anyone had this issue and have a fix?

Well, I took it upon myself to look into the player. It had a jammed gate finger. I was able to correct the issue and now it works perfectly. The only tricky part is getting the two springs that are hooked into the disc assembly outer cover back into place. These things are amazing feats of engineering.

Excellent! It really bugs me when something doesn't work. Now to look into those self canceling turn signals.
