i have the same problem with my 2009.
I was considering sandblasting it with either baking soda or walnut shells at low pressure,
then spray painting it with Dupli Color Paint Shop primer, then midnight blue, with metallic clear coat...
Compressor, sandblast gun, and blast media can be found on Harbor Freight...
Paint can be found on Rock Auto...
