I would also check out the front springs as well, since you indicate that the rears are fine. Is it possible that the broken spring remnants that you posted photos of, came from another car?

I changed out the broken actuator, got it to start, and drove a few miles. It seemed to be shifting better than ever except a little slow from 2-3. Then I got a flashing "D" and only gears 1-2-4. It won't go into 3 or 5. Still starts up after I turn it off and no 3 bars of death. Should I pull the battery again and do the reset? Or does it need to be adjusted? I touched the tip and went in 3 marks - it looked to be very close to where the old actuator was positioned. Or is it something else?
