I am looking to buy a Smart electric drive. Some of the ones I am considering are sitting outside. It has been -0 to -10 F for the last week. I have no Idea if they are plugging in the cars.If a battery is damaged due to cold, can I tell by the display readings?

Guess-to-meter display will not reflect "damage."

Exposure to a single cold snap shouldn't inflict any damage but they would be wise to take it indoors weekly and plug it in to the EVSE.

It is possible the batteries have been removed for the winter.
Not likely as the HV battery pack is not a simple plug & play?
