Random thought popped into my head yesterday. Is it possible to completely change the speedo on the Smart and if so, how?
I love the stock one but I think it would be delightfully overkill to have it bulging with gauges and screens like this Pugani Huayra shown below. Could someone fill me in on the logistics on this? Is it possible?

Just remember, a smart runs on a CanBus system. One wire may carry 5 signals. Any change has the potential to make the car not run. Not saying don't try, just be aware.

I know, right? I would kill to have a console that's just bulging at the seams with lights and gauges and other dash candy that's made of some exotic material or process. Costs be damned!

It's possible to change the speedometer face, outside of that there aren't any gauge mods I can think of.

Ive changed the speedometer and pod faces to some stainless steel inserts from metal monkey.uk but Id like to see how much farther I can go with this idea.d
