Considering this 450 to purchase.

I think I would mint this one out for the show and shine circuit as my 451 with 28,000 miles has been such a fantastic experience and is my daily driver. I will pick up a 453 when the prices fall to under $6,000.

I am going to check out the 450 and if I can swing it I would love to have it.

It looks like a good one. The equipment is pretty good: sound system, tach and clock, softouch auto shifting, heated seats and leather. What is missing is a luggage cover (easily obtained from Canada), the electric and heated side mirrors and paddle shifters. The convertible 450 is a delight to drive. The purest smart.

That all Black one just looks so right to me. As I intend to go back to the original wheels on my 451 I can see the Genius Darwin 17 inchers on this black 450. The Darwins I have are 6 inch wide with 195/40s even on the 451 I want to go with the 17 7.5 on the rear with 225/35s this 450 looks like it could stand 235/35s on the rear. $3,500 is the target price but the low mileage with all the bells and whistles may not show up so often.

Its truly an excess buy no rational reason to get it other than it may make me happy lol.

Aren't you in NY? Anyways, if you personally go then stop by here in Los Angeles if you can....
Yes NYC. My Brother lives in El Paso Texas and I am in PHX quite often. Being in NYC is the main reason for not getting it, as no place to park it. I just will think of it as the one that got away when I wasn't ready.

If you wanted to drive a little further to California for a 450, there is this one on Facebook. Needs some work but price seems good.

If only it were a cabrio, diesel, or another colour! I would fly out to Cali in like a week for it! Alas, I have no need for two 450s of the same exact spec and colour.

As I offer to everyone, if you need someone to pick it up and deliver it to you, I’m your gal! :)

I love flying out to some random state, picking up a smart, then taking a 1k+ mi road trip. My only concern would be how close that car is to an airport.

If you ventured north of the border.... >:D granted not sure how much of a pain it would be to bring it over and get it certified. Although I question whether it really is a Brabus though the colour is unique. Perhaps Mike T might have a better idea but I like the colour not sure how well it matches the red interior though.

Huh, I didn’t notice that the first time I saw the ad!

It seems $6k is the bottom of the depreciation curve for 450s in pristine condition.

At $6k, a fourth smart would actually be my second “big” purchase of 2018. The first would be a U-Haul CT13 camper. My 451 can tow the CT13 as it weighs only 100 lb more than the 5x8 U-Haul rentals I’ve been testing with and has better aero too. I know I know, just get a Timeout! Nah, I like hard-body campers.

That $2k fixer-upper coupe in California is within “sure, why not?” money for me. But, not cabrio/diesel so not on my radar :D

Ms. Mercedes your opinion if possible

Miss Mercedes and group. I need all the advice I can get. I called a dealer. Dan went through all the options I asked which way to go to work the best for me.

The problem of service and range at the foremost.

He is a good salesman and open to negotiation.

Anyone can chime in. I chose a 2018 Smart Pure ED. It is white with green. Nothing but what I need on it. I have to change to one step above steel wheels. I doubt that will be a problem.

The best option for me was a three year lease, prepaid servicing once each year. It would be my responsibility to get the car to the closest service center and back.

Everything included, delivery to my driveway, prepaid service, NY tax, all fees, registration and plates would be a total of 7400$.

How does it look to you?

I appreciate any comments on what I’m not seeing.

Thank you.
