As I read articles and watch video's on all the doom and gloom on the SMART brand , I get just a tad nervous with my 2017 453 for future repairs and or upkeep . I know that Daimler has a good past with their mainstay brand for finding OEM parts for late models . I'm crossing my fingers that if the SMART brand quietly disappears in the USA , I'll still be able to find replacement items, if not , thank heaven for the option to get parts from overseas fairly easily . Any one have the same feelings on this ?

I had an orphaned Peugeot for 15 years after they stopped selling new cars here and the parts operation based in NJ was still operating until 20 years after the last new car was sold, so don't worry.

That's some comforting feedback ! Thanks
True, for example Mercedes still stocks lots of parts for my 1959. However, all bets are off if Mercedes jettisons the Smart model and another company picks it up. Another thread here is discussing this.
