If you have the budget for anything above the entry-priced dash cameras, I would look for higher resolution, frames per second, gps speed tracking.

My Thinkware I overpaid greatly for a few years ago even allows WiFi camera output which is really cool if you decide you want to use it without video wiring.

Other than that, a camera is just a camera. It isn't that big of a deal to me...

I have the viofo a119s v2 in my smart and has decent quality and easy to mount/hide behind mirror. Has GPS too.
