Mall of America is a good choice. There is good parking, lodging, food, and parks in the area. Could meet at the local Fiat 500 dealer on Friday night , do a Saturday morning breakfast at IKEA and drive to the Zoo or Como Park (picnic there) with dinner ending up at the MOA. A Sunday morning breakfast gathering with a drive to the Capitol for a photo shoot might be of interest.
meet at the Fiat dealer??? Just because there is no local smart dealer??
Maybe a rally down here in Red Wing, visit the winery, drive through the countryside, boat ride on the river, a little gambling at the casino, picnic at the park, drive along the river, I'm sure we could find something to do. Plenty of hotels in town, or stay at the casino...
There's been alot of suggestions of where the next Midwest rally should be held. I think someone (or a group of "someones") needs to decide to take on planning the rally. They can decide the where and when from all the suggestions. Since I'm in Oklahoma and not part of the Great Midwest it would be hard for me to take on the planning of the event but I'd be willing to help in some way. I'd definitely want to attend.
I'd like the black hills, and not just because it's close to me (though that's certainly great too). However, I don't know that anyone else on here is really very close to the area. I'd help out if someone's needed on site, but my lack of experience in anything event related would surely see things going badly if I'm actually in charge of anything...
Never really thought about having it in my own back yard, Always thought it should be in more of a worldly place. But then we do have the worlds largest Red Wing boot.. built right here at the Red Wing Shoe factory.. Gonna check into this! I have contacts at the Visitor and Convention Bureau. See what they could do for us.
This was recorded at the FIRST Midwest Rally in Wisconson dells. Yea the quality isn't the best but it was from the first time I was Vlogging and was on a REALLY old camera of mine. (come to think of it I've gone through like 20 since then)
Thats right I'm back again kids! you missed me admit it! And while I was cleaning up my computer I found the NEVER BEFORE SEEN RACE that took place in the Dells, notice I didn't spend much time on this video but hopefully it will put and end to the much dispute of who won it!
