If the OP's photo on the right is from the car in question, the part circled in red is not missing anything. However, just below it is the thermistor that reads and helps control the A/C temperature - that is normally a white connector plug (as in the left photo) and it appears to have one wire disconnected. Should be replaced IMHO but I don't think the plug is sold separately from the A/C wiring harness. :)

The picture circle ⭕ is a picture from the internet the other one is my car and that litttle cage appears to be empty in my car and not in the circle ⭕ picture
