Greetings. I am wondering if it was possible to order a smart ED with ALL of the following options when new:

• 3-spoke wheel w/regen paddles
• Navigation
• Premium sound
• Heated seats

Seems like the overwhelming majority of cars available out there have none of the above; some have one, and very few have two...but none I have come across have three or all four. Am I chasing a unicorn?

Just a quick look through cars.com and most I could find was an either or situation. Either premium sound, navigation and heated seats or regen, and heated seats.

Yup...that's why I was wondering if anybody recalls some of the packages/options above not being available with others.

To make my search even more of a challenge, I want one with CA carpool lane stickers.

By any chance is the 3-spoke wheel w/regen paddles plug-and-play after the fact?

From my understanding, you'd have to convince a dealership to program the SAM for it to be functional.

If you're in SoCal, I know I put out HUNDREDS of those regen paddle models on the roads of SoCal over the years. The navi package was limited in quantity though, you won't see many of those. That sure was a nice head unit.

My 2014 ED cabrio "Miss Kitty" has all 4 (and more)

When I ordered it, I got every possible option.

So, Yes, they do exist. As to how rare they are? anybody's guess.

And YES, I will consider selling "Miss Kitty" but the price would have to have ALOT of zero's?

Do all the three spoke steering wheel cars have paddle shift regeneration? Just curious as I'm looking at one here online that has the 3 spoke but not paddles just buttons that I can't blow up to read.

3-spoke w/buttons = cruise control.

It was a choice - nothing (2-spoke) or option up for EITHER regen or cruise.

Has anyone any experience with doing the following?

Take an existing three spoke w/cruise control and mount the shift/regen paddles from another vehicle. You'd have to get the dealership to do a recode, but it sounds like it's possible.

Only proves that The Mothership likes you better - we in N.A. couldn't have those ED options at any price!

I can't speak for the EV cars, but in America, you could not get paddle shifters and cruise control from the factory. EU cars may have a different set of standards for their options.
