No trade off....27% increase in HP and same mileage...the rest is subjective (looks and such...)I’m considering getting a 453, But I have to see what’s the trade off compared to the 451
Along with the above. No trade off....27% increase in HP and same mileage...the rest is subjective (looks and such...)
additional brand new car payments. Since the used car market is crazy at the moment.Along with the above.
Better ride, better handling more shoulder room inside the car.
While I agree with the second part of your post.additional brand new car payments. Since the used car market is crazy at the moment.
Price gouging!!!
Whats ironic, I traded in a loaded high profile Jeep Grand Cherokee, 14 years ago.
For a smart car. On the the highway. The Jeep got blown around on strong windy days too.
At least I felt safer in that vehicle. Solution to the issue. The smart car is a city car.
stay in the city!
Buying another newer 453 used car. Just because you’re blown around a little. While I agree with the second part of your post.
The second part is that a left field?????
Who the heck is talking about buying a new car?????![]()
I drove from groton ct to los Angeles CA in 3 days in my smart with a roof rack and the entire cabin packed to the brim with everything i owned. I then shipped it from LA to hawaii where i moved to for the navy. I slept in the car, ate in the car, and lived in the car the whole drive. It was alot of fun and definitely an experience driving so long with no cruise control or power steering. Spent about 450 on gas the whole drive. Went through icy mountains, hot deserts, flooded out forests, and alot of corn. Shes a trooper, tiny but mighty! As I take a 2 hr trip on the highway with the speed limit at 70 mph, I noticed that this smart car was getting a little scary to drive at 70+mph. Yes it was a sort of a windy day but it made me back down to 60 until I got my nerves back up (70 mph) then backing down again. I don’t see how you guy do cross-country in these and feel comfortable. I was thinking about going to visit the north (NYC) to see the sites but driving 12 hours would be hummm……A Tremor
