I wish the brand would have kept the gasoline engine and realized that not all of us live in the city. I love my smart, but the all-electric version will not work for me due to the low-mile-range per charge.

Indeed. Our ed.2 gasser spends a much time on interstates as city, since we live in a remote area. A single round-trip into the metro would deplete a battery pack.

Had to drive to Kalahari Resorts (PA Poconos) today for a convention , interstate 80 , west or east is atrocious, pot holes that would engulf any vehicle, but my Smart and low profile 17’s could of been a real disaster. I passed 3 , count em , 3 auto’s heading east bound with flats at the side of the road . PADOT should be ashamed of themselves. PA State Police were on the prowl and writing plenty of tickets . I find that the unsafe driving conditions are basically ignored and speeders (cash flow) more important . Shame on the whole system for failing miserably. Although the speed limit is posted 65 , I crept along at 60 and even 50 at some spots so hazardous and craterd I could only imagine the anxiety driving this stretch at night .. I wonder how many tires , wheels and suspension components fell victim today , let alone since the winter. I returned home safely and the Smart unscathed.
