Furthermore, didn't I read that if you get the flash to activate older smarts' DRL and did de-activate it for some reason, to re-instate it you had to redo the flash and spend more $$$?

....I can turn my factory/dealer activated DRL on/off at will ...once it is programed it stays programed....I do run them all the time so they can see the pretty tail lights.....

jetfuel....where did he go?????

...after three weeks overseas and for some reason the hair dryer that Paul installed in my car pulled the battery south...a charge fix the issue but again I lost my DRL...
...thanks to the bohemian moderator and the instructions in post 1 I was able to get them back...

I did something stupid! For a change... :D

To check if my '08 was by any chance programed for the DRL I tried the procedure stated in the top post and it turned the "Engine Light" on! :nono:

So I have a trip to the Dealership scheduled for next week... :whistle:

Now that I have an appointment the "Engine Light" turned itself off. :confused:

I'll wait a day or two, and if all is well, I'll cancel.

At least now we know. :wink:

...yes....I was able to restore my lights by doing the procedure on post 1...

Jetfuel...on/off at will...
