Is there actually transmission oil filter on this car??

I am glad to hear that changing the transaxle/transmission oil appears to clear your SMART car P2188, like it did for my two SMART cars. There is no transaxle/transmission filter. Is the Squirt Packaging the bottle of oil with the glued attached clear flexible tubing that I showed on my photos? What brand of oil did you used? I will drive it more than 100 miles before taking it to Smog..

UPDATE* Long story short the nipple for the secondary valve check was cracked and luckily it happened to break off when I pulled one of the lines to get get it out of the way in order to clean the throttle body. Not sure if cleaning the throttle body helped but definitely sure that replaceing that little secondary air valve thing cured the problem! It’s not expensive and easy to replace! Smog check passed !! And no more engine light baby!
