Yes Joe, that's the check engine light. Using a scanner, you may be able to read the codes, to determine the problem. You may also be able to reset it.
But do find out what the codes are for and go from there.
Check engine light can be triggered by an improperly installed gas cap!

If you don’t own a code reader, and wouldn’t even know what the code means. You can run the car, by any part supply store. They will hook one up free. diagnose the codes for you.

If the engine lamp doesn’t turn off. The car, goes into limp mode. Take the car, in for service, right away.
