Hello,

When I purchased my smart, I went through and replaced a ton of things. Including all 3 of the engine/motor mounts.

I got the lower one from @SmartMadness and the top 2 from a different online supplier (OEM) and installed them following the article on Evilution website. So they were torqued to spec as well.

However I'm getting a thud/clunk upon taking off from a stop. I can also feel the loss of power in between gears so I'm rather sure it's the mounts. It's not bad early in the morning, but as I drive and the weather heats up...it gets worse. Being the top ones are rubber, it makes me think it's the mounts also!

Is there any aftermarket mounts that will fix this? Should I fill them so they're solid?

Thanks in advance.

…really don’t think the upper mounts will be an issue since they are compression mounts…
…look at the front lower mount….bet it’s torn….
…measure the inside diameter of the mount and compare it to a Chevy S10 bushing mount…

I have the upgraded mount from @SmartMadness that’s fairly new. Maybe I need to make sure it’s not faulty somehow.

When you say compare, could you elaborate sorry.
