I hit a curb head on with the driver’s front tire and bent the rim. Replaced rim. Now the ESP light is on. Any ideas?

Check for a bent strut, tie rod, and other front suspension parts.

Could be the wheel speed sensor. 😀

Check the back reluctor rings too.

When I replaced the rim, I think they just put a little regular valve stem instead of a sensor. Would that have anything to do with it?

No, not connected in any way.

Hmm, you now have lights on the dash, correct? One, ESP light. Two, the Traction Control light. Three, the TPMS light.

Just a thought…

A malfunctioning ABS controller can cause the fault indications and could be damaged if there was an impact on the calipers.

I’m he only way to be sure is to get a Star Diagnostic or compatible OBD2 reader connected.

If your car has ESP it should have warned you about the curb before you hit it.
