I think I have what is the factory front plate mount. It's a huge hunk of black plastic with a smart logo embossed into the front, that screws into the bumper using two holes that are nearly license plate width apart. The mount is about a half inch thick.

Is this the actual front plate mount? If so, are there other alternatives to this mount? Unfortunately, my dealer already drilled holes for this mount, and I was thinking about just drilling a couple of holes in the license plate to match the existing hole spacing. But I'd have to devise some way to keep the plate off the bumper itself.

I've seen the two hook mount, but I like the plate to be centered. Any ideas or suggestions?

I don't like it.

I may just run without the front plate mount - just a bare plate held off the bumper with some rubber grommets.

I'm so glad that PA has only a rear plate , and I would of been pissed if the dealer would of drilled out the mounts on their own .

It's a two year old new car so I can't complain. I'll get it all fixed up here soon to mount without a plate holder.
