Hi all.
I’ve recently had a fan issue crop up with my 09 and I was wanting to know where the relay is exactly.
I’ve looked by the Sam and only see three relays on the side nearest the floor.
It has a aftermarket fan on the front.
I powered the fan and it works.
I managed to get power from the car’s fan wires once but haven’t since.
The fan hasn’t seemed to work since I got the car.
I redid the connections and no luck.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Thanks jwight.
Unless I’m missing something(or they are bundled in something)
I’m only seeing the three relays beside the Sam unit.
My flashlight went dead on me(forgot to charge it last night)
I tried the a/c on max both with and without the car running and no fan.
I’m going to sit a fan in front of the car so I don’t have to worry about it overheating while I check for voltage and try a different fan to see if it’s the fan.
I’m honestly thinking it’s the fan but I need to make sure it’s getting power.
Fan does turn a bit hard by hand.(no coasting)

Ok fan is bad.
Got power so it has to be bad fan.
Likely bushings in it are failing.
Looks like a new aftermarket fan is in order.
Thanks for the help.
Now I just hope I didn’t mess up the engine running it without a fan to cool it down.

Tested the fan feeds with the key off and I only get 10 something volts.
Now I need to find the relay.
It’s not by the Sam unit.
I seen two relays behind the dash behind the area of the button bank.
Three by the Sam unit.
That’s it.

Ok so I replaced all the relays I could see.(only 5)
Three by the Sam unit and two behind the dash next to the green relay for the defrost.
Still shows voltage on the leads with the key off but it won’t work the fan when it’s connected.
Honestly I’m stumped.
I’m thinking of wiring in a temporary relay worked off the key to turn the fan on when the car is on.(thoughts?)

I forgot to mention the ground is good(tested with my tester off the battery)
Also I get lower voltage from the fan lead(car will be running and it will show 12 something instead of the 13 volts it should)
Again fan works but doesn’t work when connected to the car despite voltage coming from the car.
