Hey everyone! Please give me tips on how to keep this little guy well maintained. I live in Orlando, Fl and would love to know where I can take my smartie for repairs, maintenance, service, check ups, etc. I just want to be prepared in case things happen.
How often do I need to change the coolant? Is this done during the oil change? What kind of tires can I buy if they need to be replaced? Where can I purchase new tire sensors, headlights, panels?
the clear coat is peeling and I have read that all I can do for that is change the panels.
Anything else I should know about this car?

Stock size tires are either Continentals or Kuhmos. The fronts are different than the rears so don't try to rotate them. Tire Rack online has them, along with the tps (sensors)
Oil change is done every 10,000 miles or yearly, whichever comes first. Oil is Mobil1 0-40 european blend and it holds 3.7 quarts
Headlights are a standard H7 bulb and are a pain to install the first time.
Clearcoat peeling is a feature, meaning they won't do anything about it. Panels can be ordered online at https://www.mbonlineparts.com/ but shipping is expensive. Some colors are moulded in, some are painted. You might check with a local body shop about fixing the clearcoat.

Another good source for repairs is https://www.evilution.co.uk/index.php he has everything about these cars. You do have a 451 model if it comes up. Youtube also has a lot of information about repairs.

Any parts store carriers the head light bulbs. Air filters, Brakes, Plugs, batteries, oil filters, cabin filters, etc. Rock Auto has all major parts too.

You can buy used body panels. Off eBay. MB has discontinue, a few of colors new. If your mechanical incline, you can change them yourself. Cheaper to replace, then a bodyshop refinishing the clear coat.

Any tire store carries the Tire pressure monitor sensors. Most major tire stores, can order the tires too. I use Continental. I did my oil changes, every 10k miles. Changed the coolant, around 60K miles or 6 years old. Not sure the milage to replace the accessory serpentine belt.

The car is pretty simple to work on. You’ll bust your knuckles, replacing the head lamp bulbs, changing spark plugs. Use a women’s compact mirror with a flash light, behind the headlamp housing. So you can see the head lamp bulb clips.

Walmart has Pennzoil Euro 0W-40, which has run really well in my 2009 Smart...

Oil filter
The usual oil filter is Wix 57040 size, but I use the longer Wix 51356...
The oil capacity goes from 3.7 quarts to exactly 4 using the oversized filter...

Beautiful deal about the 451 is the lo beams and high beams are both H7s! Flashy thing goes out on lo... ...change from hi side! Yay us!
