Flooded battery box 0842 passion convertible CarMax refusing to fix after purchasing the best warranty they offer any suggestions?
I would think the reason for the flooding would be the big question. If the flooding was “operator error” (Windows open in the car wash or rain, etc, I don’t imagine any extended warranty covering it. If the seals or seams in the car are faulty, check your warranty carefully and see what it covers. Many warranties are targeted at stuff like transmission, engine, and drivetrain.

It might be worth talking the the dealer and asking them
Nicely, particularly if you are a repeat customer. Who knows? Maybe their service manager will have some sympathy for your plight.

If you need to do things on your own, water can damage parts inside the car. Take the battery out, empty the water and get that inside dry!

…any suggestions?
Welcome to SCoA!

DIY - clear the drain hole in the bottom of the battery box making certain that the A/C condensation tube is properly routed, allow it to air dry and ENJOY THE RIDE!

Note, also make certain that the 12V battery vent is in place.

We had this happen on our 2015 Electric Pasion Cabrio, we were under three years and the dealer covered it under warranty.

Looking back, we did have a heavy rainstorm, and we did park it under the lip of the garage so the charge cable reached it. I think this caused the infiltration to the point that the (stupid) battery box under the passenger floor filled up with water.

That said, a leak in the convertible roof should not happen, even parked in a large rain event, it did.

We vacuumed out the water, but had errors like "Brake Malfunction" so we had it towed.
