I've heard of 2 from Oregon and 1 from Washington. Any more?

Speak up, Folks - this is a long drive, you don't want to go it alone if you can travel in a smartie caravan.....:RS-c.gl.zw::smartje::smartje.rd.zw::RS-c.bl.zw::smartje.zw.zw::toot: :RS-c.gl.zw::smartje.zw.zw::smartje.rd.zw::smartje:

It took 11 hours to get from "my" Pacific Northwest (Portland area) to SF which some still call the Pacific Northwest. That caravan of 3 for the Lombard Street gathering met a Seattle smart there as well. Fun, fun trip.

Is your California of the very northern persuasion? It sure would be a trek to meet up with a Portland caravan from a San Diego start!

I am beginning to think I might be able to make the Nationals. If I can, I would like to drive down from British Columbia to join the PNW Caravan!

I might get there from the opposite corner of the nation. Maybe. Possibly. It looks like that might be the closest thing to a vacation I can afford this year. Doable for less than a grand.

I wish it wasn't in Summer though. :p

If there is a "caravan" - even just a few people - coming out of Portland and/or Seattle that hits Highway 84, I would likely cross into Oroville and south to Kennewick and join the parade from there. That would save me 6 or so hours of driving versus diverting to the coast and back East again.

I'm open to other ideas...

Hmmmm  My calendar seems to have a couple other seasonal possibilities on it besides Summer and Winter. :D Yah, technically this rally is going to held in late Spring, not Summer ... but, June is summer in my book

Has anyone stepped up to coordinate the PNW "caravan"? I will need to start making plans to coordinate with the itinerary in order to meet up with the PNW crew around Kennewick - I will be driving south from Kelowna BC.

Days, routes, overnight stops, etc. These things will be helpful. I hope the journey can be as enjoyable as the destination!

Cheers,
Bil

Bil,

We can meet up with you in Seattle or wherever on route, second thoughts maybe we should cross the border together?

We can then meet us with our US buddies on their side, then others will join in as we go,..............how cool is that!...........man!

Suze, what day would the PNW caravan depart and from where? It's a 4-5 day drive to KC?

Steve, yeah, I think meeting up before crossing might be good. That way if the US caravan doesn't work for some reason, at last we'd be in tandem with our own mini-convoy.

Input from anyone from Seattle or Portland /PNW would be appreciated.

Hi Steve and Bil,

I'm planning on leaving Kennewick on 07 Mon overnight near scSLC (Lindon UT), 08 Tue drive to near scDEN (Englewood CO) for overnight, 09 Wed drive to Topeka KS and overnight to visit w/ family, on 10 Thu take a leisurely drive over to the sc and Crowne Plaza.

From SLC I'm planning on taking the southern route-- I-70 E & US-6 E. I have two brewpubs on my map-- dinner at Roosters near the SLC overnight, and lunch at Tommy Knockers in Idaho Springs on the way to DEN.

I'm getting into KC earlier than normal so my Dad and I can visit one night with family, so I totally understand if I end up being a one-smart parade. But if any part of it works for any one else, let me know. I think Ross might be on the same schedule and I need to touchbase with him.
