Went through car wash today..as soon as my front hood was underneath dryers it blew off! (scared the crap out of me) .. I got out immediately & didnt see any broken pieces etc. (and the strap is still attached) but I cannot get the hood compartment to lock in at the bottom at all when you fold the levers back on the grill..tried several times and nothing is working....Anybody have this happen? grrrrrrr:confused:

Last time you (or someone) opened your hood, it wasn't put back on properly and the latches probably broke off from the carwash blower?

The "L" locks that that hold the "hood" closed.

VERY common issue is that a carwash blower will blow these off the rotating pins and the hood will fly off. We keep a few spares in the dealership for instant repairs to customer's cars.

Cost is around $5 each.
