Wife and went through some nasty North Central PA storms yesterday , had to drive around fallen trees and plenty of road debris . Arriving at home to inspect for any damage , I found none except for a missing front tow hook cover . Anyone have knowledge of a silver one out there for sale ?

OP, is there any trick you smart fortwo 453 owners do to keep the front town hook cover on?

For example, us Plymouth Prowler owners have an issue with our plastic metal caps that cover the conical wheel bolts. They fall off over certain bumps.

So what we do is get a very very ultra strong epoxy along with a neodyme (sp?) magnet.
Sand down and clean the side of the plastic wheel cap. Lay down epoxy, Lay down the magnet on the epoxy, & let it cure overnight. Then they install HARD haha. And never come off unless you use a flat head screwdriver and really yank on them.

My 453 comes in this weekend. So I don't know if there is metal behind that tow hook cover. But it's an idea @1stiski

There is metal behind that plug , you may be onto something !! I’m going to look for one of those small magnets that are big on Foot lbs of pull and epoxy it on . Great idea .
Great to hear there is metal back there! It will be the first mod I do on my fortwo.
That epoxy crap was strong stuff. I forget the name of the product I used but it was black paste & some grey paste and you mix it up really well and ends up being dark grey.
Hard as a rock when it cures. That magnet will never come off.

Yea we used these 1/16" neodyme (sp?) magnets off amazon. I don't have a link but you'll see em when you go on ebay or amazon. They had near 5 stars on amazon. Hurt like hell if you got your skin pinched between two :)
