Having an issue with alarm going off whenever it feels like it.....

Yes it is me and I am back with another issue...My alarm keeps going off, no one near the car, nothing on dash saying anything is open or alerted.

I have to leave car unlocked in order to get through a night without waking up to the alarm or my neighbors dog barking his head off. The Toyota dealership readjusted the hood before and that seem to work, but after driving the car for over two weeks, the alarm is back to sounding off. Is there anyone here who has had this problem and resolved it other then pulling wires or fuses to just shutting it down?
Thanks in advance for any help....a 2016 fortwo passion.

It sounds like the hood alarm needs another adjustment. There's an article on Evilution (subscription required, but well worth it...): Evilution - Smart Car Encyclopaedia :)

Thanks for the read, I figured it was something like that as when they did a so-called fix they said they did something under the hood...which I now see did not work. I will be going in on the 23rd and I will inform them of this issue and see if they will try that solution....But what I can not understand is this, the car is sitting still in driveway, and when we had those 50 mile per hour winds the other day the alarm stayed silent. The the next day it snowed and boom the alarm went off. Now the weather is fine and all last night it was going off. Sometimes I think this Smart Car is haunted LOL
Hopefully a good solution will be made.

Its just the plunger on the hood alarm switch not going in enough. Just glue a packer piece in front of it so plunger goes in further, and switch remains closed. (Its a very common fault on the 453).

Ahh, right. Nowadays smart even has a fix for that. You need part number MA000 998 13 23, which costs less than a Euro. It's a small knob you stick on the sensor that's checking of the boned hood is still closed.
